BIOGRAPHIE

Luiz De Simone, geboren in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilien, nahm seine ersten Klavierstunden 1988. Zwei Jahre später begann er als Stipendiat der Montreal Bank sein Studium am brasilianischen Konservatorium. 1998 erhielt er seinen Bachelor Abschluss in Klavier.

De Simone besuchte die Meisterklasse zusammen mit verschiedenen bekannten Pianisten, wie Luiz Carlos de Moura Castro (Brasilien), Fany Solter (Brasilien), Luís Medalha (Brasilien), Arnaldo Cohen (Brasilien), Almerindo D’Amato (Italien), Caterina Vassaturo (Italien), Daniel Shapiro (USA) und Rudolf Kehrer (Russland).

Der durch viele brasilianische Wettbewerbe preisgekrönte Pianist hat schon in den bekanntesten Konzerthäusern Rio de Janeiros gespielt. Mit beinahe 300 Konzerten in über 30 Städten tourte er durch das ganze Land und spielte bis jetzt bei jedem Liszt Festival in Rio de Janeiro.

2004 nahm er sein erstes Soloalbum mit eigenen Kompositionen auf: „EP-Essays at the Piano“. Das Album kam in Brasilien und Frankreich auf den Markt und De Simone begann auch Konzerte in Europa zu geben. Nach seinen Tourneen 2004 und 2005 erwarten wir seine größte Tournee nun 2006 in Frankreich, Deutschland und der Schweiz, unter anderem in Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, München, Hamburg und Frankfurt.

Luiz De Simone war bereits Gast bei den großen brasilianischen TV-Sendern und auch bei MEC-FM Radio (Radiosender des Ministeriums für Bildung und Kultur), ein Sender, der hauptsächlich klassische Musik spielt und in dem seine Klavierkomposition “Muse” wochenlang das beliebteste Stück unter den Hörern war.

Außerdem ist er Komponist von Soundtracks und Arrangements für die großen Plattenlabels in Brasilien sowie Gründungsmitglied der brasilianischen progressiven Rockband Sigma 5, mit der er zwei Alben herausgebracht hat.
Des Weiteren unterrichtet Luiz De Simone Klavier am brasilianischen Konservatorium und am Luciano Alves Center of Music and Technology in Rio de Janeiro.

In seinen letzten Konzerten präsentierte er bereits einen Mix verschiedener Musikrichtungen und auch bei dieser Tournee können wir uns nicht nur auf ein traditionell klassisches Repertoire freuen, sondern auch auf seine eigenen Kompositionen. Seine innovative Herangehensweise an die Klaviermusik hat ihn zu dem Musiker, mit nicht nur dem größten, sondern auch mit dem jüngsten Publikum in Rio de Janeiro gemacht und wird mit Sicherheit auch sein europäisches Publikum begeistern.
